About Dr. Schwechter
Dr. Evan Schwechter completed his medical degree at UMDNJ – New Jersey Medical School. He served as intern and resident at Montefiore Medical Center, where he was awarded the Richard Selznick Memorial Research award. He completed his fellowship in adult joint reconstruction surgery at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Schwechter specializes in adult primary and revision hip and knee replacement, with a particular interest in complex joint replacement, computer assisted joint replacement, partial knee replacement, and patient specific total knee replacement.
His research has been published in major orthopaedic journals including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS) and the Journal of Arthroplasty (JOA), and has been presented at several national meetings. Dr. Schwechter is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).
